Homework
Homework will now be added onto your child's Google Classroom, which they will need to login and accept their invite to their new class. On Classroom you will find that your child has a spellings worksheet, which they must practice at home as they will have a spelling test every Thursday. Your child will also be sent home with a home-reading book and a reading book to make notes of how long your child has read for and any other comments.
For extra homework, we would like you to login to Timestable Rockstars, Bug Club and Education City (your child should have all their usernames and passwords).
For children self-isolating, please check Google Classroom for any work that your teacher has set.
Welcome Letter
Dear Year 5,
You will either be coming into Miss Murphy's or Miss Coyne's class (the best teachers of course) and we can't wait to see you all. We know you've had a long time off and some of you may be feeling worried or nervous about returning, however, we want to let you know that we will all be returning to our new normal together, so please try not to worry. Year 5 is a big step up from Year 4 and we will be challenging your abilities in all subjects but we also know how to have a good time.
All we ask that you complete over the Summer are four things: Timestable Rockstar Challenge, Summer Reading Project, Year 5 Learning Challenge Project and Summer Sports Challenge. All of these are down below for you to download, as well as the chance to win some brilliant prizes!
We can't wait to meet you all and get to know you individually and as a class but for now have an amazing summer and get lots of rest, ready to return in September.
Miss Murphy and Miss Coyne
