VE Day Activity
Every year on the 8th May we celebrate VE day (Victory in Europe day) This is a very special day as it makes us think about how it is important to be friends and celebrate each other.
Watch the video to find out more about VE day.
On this day in 1945 an important event happened in history as it celebrates the end of a time when countries around the world were not friends. This was a time when people fought and said and did unkind things to each other.
Today countries and people are working together as friends to make us all safe.
Here are some ideas that describe a good friend. Can you think of any more?
Always Kind
Happy
Helps you
Shares with you and others
Encourages you to do your best
Plays with you
Cheers you up when you feel sad
Loving
Can you draw a picture of your best friend and label it with some of the words and phrases?
