Welcome to Reception

Early Years covers children who are in our Nursery and Reception classes.

We have a wonderful learning environment for the children to explore to help them develop their knowledge and skills. The children have access to both the inside and outside classrooms when ever they want.

You can see a "parent friendly" version of what we learn about in the Early Years by clicking on the National Curiculum Guidance icon.

Each 1/2 term we will send home a letter giving you an overview of some of the activities we will be working on that 1/2 term - click on Curriculum Overviews to see them.

Check out our Reception BLOG to see some of the fun activities we have been doing. Each week we will let you know some of the activities we have planned for the following week and we also add some ideas that you can use to help your child to prepare. Click on Reception BLOG or simply search for "tdmreceptionblog".

We use various websites to help our children learn, click on EYFS ICT to get more information about them.

We have created various short videos and put useful links on the Help Your Child Learn More page.

We work with both Manchester Metropolitan University and Manchester University on various Early Years research projects.

For new parent carers a copy of the presentation slides from our parent/carer meeting is below.

Welcome to our new reception children! Please try to complete the form below, if you have any problems or questions don't worry, just contact the school and ask to speak to one of the reception teachers.
