Reading For Pleasure

Our School Library

We are very proud to have a fantastic school library in the Divine Mercy. 

 

This has been a real success in promoting and encouraging reading for pleasure with our pupils.

Classes are able to visit the school library during the school day. Pupils are encouraged to lend books from our library and visit during their breaktimes and lunchtimes.

 

We, as a school, regularly promote Reading for Pleasure with special events such as World Book Day, Book Fair Week, National Storytelling Week and even have had brilliant visits from authors and poets.

 

We encourage our parents and carers to read with their children each day for at least 10 minutes, developing a love for reading.
