To support home learning and provide direct communication with your class teacher every child has been given their own personal Google Classroom login.

Each week your teacher will set assignments (work) for you to do on Google Classroom. If you do not see an assignment when you login in for the first time please check again the next day.

Your teacher will state when they expect you to “Hand in” assignments. When you “Hand in” work make sure that you add a “Private comment” to tell your teacher you have done your work and how you found it. Please note that teachers will respond during school hours (9am - 4pm Monday - Friday).

The best way to access Classroom is by using the Google Chrome internet browser, it will work on other internet browsers as well. You can download apps for Google Classroom on the Google Play store and Apple App store, just search for "Google Classroom".

The children’s Classroom login is based on:

• the year they would have joined our school nursery class (eg 14 for 2014)

• + their first name

• + the first letter of their surname

• + @thedivinemercy.manchester.sch.uk

 So for example a child Sam Bussle could be 14SamB@thedivinemercy.manchester.sch.uk

Occasionally we may have children with duplicate Classroom names in the same year group (eg Sam Bussle and Sam Brody in Year 4), in this case your class teacher will inform you if your child's login is different.
