Reading
Your child should be reading for a minimum of 15 minutes, per day, preferably with an adult. Attached is a copy of their usual book review that they complete, which can be done for any of the books read on Bug club (your child has been given a copy of their usernames and passwords).
Audible have announced that all of their children's books will be available for FREE! This is a fantastic opportunity to have your children listen to books be read to them during their free time at home. Please be sure to make use of this!

Your child also has access to a variety of reading comprehensions available below which they can complete either online or using the exercise book sent home with your child. It is important that they are spending time reading through the text and attempting to unpick it using the skills we have learned in Reading lesson.

Writing
There are a number of writing tasks linked below, which your child can complete in their books that were previously sent home. It is important that your child is reading back their work and checking their spelling and punctuation. Please use the writing mat (linked as a PDF below) to help your child include Year 5 objectives and to encourage them to proofread their own work.
