Maths
In maths this half term, we will be looking at place value and the four operations. Keep your eyes peeled to see some fantastic examples of our learning below.
Year six have been working hard on using BODMAS in maths. Ask them about the game they played in class- all you need is a dice!
RE
Our first RE topic is Unconditional Love, in this topic children will explore the meaning of unconditional love, children will gain an understanding of how and why Christians show love and care, as well as making links to scripture and God's unconditional love.
Year 6 exploring the meaning of the parable of the Prodigal Son
Learning Challenge
Our learning challenge topic this half term is Bazar Baghdad. We will be learning all about the Islamic Golden Age.
Year 6 experience life on the Silk Road today, trading some goods that could be found along it during the Ancient Islamic period.
Art
In art, the children have exploded examples of geometric patterns found within Islamic art. The children have designed and created Lino prints and explored layering colours in their prints.
